Today we:

• went to the SALVATION ARMY where Coral made us lunch 🙂
• had some training Jen regarding empathy, intersectionality (being marginalized in multiple ways: ethnicity, SES, gender, ability, etc.)
• did some role playing with open ended questions and summarzing
• were reminded that our job is not to FIX, but we do have the power to restore someone’s humanity by being present and listening (and caring, frankly).

Today might have been a tough especially with her story of what happened on Tuesday. Please remember that you have been put here purposefully and intentionally; there’s a reason YOU are being called here. Trust.
