Today we:
- discussed the difference between compare (what do two things have in common) and contrast (what makes two things unique/separate);
- looked at a list of key words to help us when comparing and contrasting;
- wrote some examples of compare and contrast sentences (5 each). We put 20 of our best ones on the board to (1) correct them and (2) test them for accuracy!
Now that we have strengthened our “Discussion” we are ready to type out our polished compare and contrast paper! We will do this on Thursday when Mrs. LaFleur has computers booked. This means we will have to swap Technical Thursday.
**If we missed last week on Thursday and Friday, we worked with Mrs. LaFleur and Mrs. Phillips to get caught up on instruction.
