Today was WORD WEDNESDAY! We chose a familiar idiom and looked up its history. We now know the reason behind at least three things we say.

We read “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson. I can’t believe you’ve never read it. We also tackled some discussion questions after we annotated it.

We came up with our own terrible games (after doing some research): take a benign game and turn it into something entirely different.

We looked at a formerly published creative writing book.
