Today we:

• read Psalm 130 (lament);
• discussed the “lament” as a human soul in anguish. We hear lots of language about “crying out” and “help” and “mercy.” Lamentation should strike your heart in the same way you response to hearing someone cry;
• experienced a fun plot twist: the speaker in Psalm 130 is the transgressor…the one who did something wrong. S/He is also willing to wait for the redemption and reconciliation offered by Christ.
